Description: |
The Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, one of the most acclaimed international dance festivals in the world, remains faithful to its founding vision to support artistic development and the creation of new works that reflect art forms from around the world as well as preserve the rich history of dance. It also seeks to educate and engage the public to deepen appreciation and support for the art of dance. Members and staff of Jacob's Pillow should share in the commitment to this vision, and each participant plays an important role in its continuation. Internships range within the Festival, and include: development, documentation, education, operations, technical theatre, and much more. Participate in the excitement of presenting world class modern, ballet, jazz and cultural dance, as well as audience enrichment and educational programs. |

Benefits/ Compensation: |
Free room and board, $500 stipend, $150 travel/expense allowance, and workshops by the Festival staff. When work responsibilities and availability permit, attend without charge, performances, community dance classes and master classes, and festival events. This internship may qualify for college credit, work-study, independent study and cooperative learning programs at your current school. |
