The Ames Research Center conducts basic and applied research in areas of vital importance to the advancement of aeronautics and space technology. Ames is a principal center for computational fluid aerodynamics, rotorcraft and powered-lift technology, and artificial intelligence. Major program responsibilities are also concentrated in experimental aerodynamics, aeronautical and space human factors, flight simulation, computer systems analysis, space sciences, life sciences, earth system science, and infrared astronomy. |
