Description: |
This REU program will provide undergraduates considering a career in science with the opportunity to engage in research with professional astronomers working on cutting-edge problems in astrophysics. The REU students will be full-time research assistants to a faculty mentor and will work on specific aspects of an ongoing research program. Astronomers at the IfA conduct research in a wide range of astrophysical disciplines, including solar physics, planetary astronomy, stellar astronomy, the interstellar medium and star formation, galaxies and stellar systems, observational and theoretical cosmology, and theoretical stellar dynamics. |
