Description: |
Students will participate in a six week summer enrichment program located at 11 medical sites around the country. The program is designed to help students compete successfully for acceptance into medical or dental school. SMEP components include: laboratory experience in a structured clinical and research environment with an M.D. or Ph.D. mentor; academic enrichment; preparation and review for the MCAT; practical counseling on the selection of medical and dental schools and the application process. |

Benefits: |
Paid tuition, housing, and meals. (Amounts differ by program.) MCAT/DAT preparation is available in some programs. Students receive counseling to prepare for medical school and the application process. |
