The University of Maryland’s Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, with support from the National Science Foundation and the Army Research Laboratory, is offering exciting research opportunities for undergraduate students in the broad areas of telecommunications, computer engineering and microelectronics. The Maryland Engineering Research Internship Teams (MERIT) program combines cutting-edge, team-based research with technical and educational seminars. Participants are given the choice of four technical focuses: the Research Internships in Telecommunications Engineering (RITE) program, the Power & Energy Electronics Research (PEER) program, the Internships in Computer Engineering (ICE) program, or the Industry Sponsored Projects In Research Engineering (INSPIRE). Students typically work in teams of two or three and are supervised jointly by faculty members and graduate students. |
